I really wanna get a 2nd gen RX-7 motor for a swap into my MG Midget. My question is, how hard are these engines to rebuild by yourself? I saw a quote online for $3500 for a basic rebuild and I'm not paying that 2 years down the road.

So if you've done one, What does a rebuild kit cost and how hard is it to perform.

I'm very mechanically inclined but I've never worked with a wankel before.
