Unhappy Help! Shorted my '81 rx7

The other day I started my '81 rx7 up in my driveway when it just stopped running. I looked under the hood and saw that the alternator wire fell onto the AC compressor and was cut through. I looked at the fuse box under the dash and nothing was burnt out. Any ideas? - Thanks

What kind of help are you looking for?? Did you try replacing the wire?? It might have burned out the alternator - have it rebuilt, or get a new one. if it doesn't work.

similar problem

I just had the same kinda problem with an 87 Crown Victoria. Turned out the alternator was bad and a fusible link was fried. Even though its a TOTALLY differant car it sounds like the same problem to me. So...
