Boost gauge install qs..

Although this is for a 300zx turbo(sold 7), I am going to ask here because there are alot more people who actually know what they are doing. I am installing 2 autometer gauges, one boost/vac, one oil pressure. For the boost, can I attach the line to any vacuum line near my intake manifold? Or should it be the one that feeds right into the turbo? Also I am having trouble hooking up the lights. My instructions say to hook up the ground... but the bulb only has a single red wire coming out of it. I stuck it in the 12 volt socket to test out, but just got some sparks from the contact spot. Any help would be appreciated, and I still think the FD is the ultimate!

There should be 2 wires coming out of the bulb. There should be a black one and a red one. The red one is 12V and the black is ground. You need to have both of these hooked up before the bulb will light up. I hooked mine up to a 12V that powers on only when the lights are turned on. But there are 12V lines that are always on once the car is on. As for the boost vacuum line, I don't know. I just know the FD has a specific nipple i could attach a vacuum line to.
