Help needed with a short shifter kit and a c-west headlight conversion kit

I have two problems I could use some help on. I just bought a B&M short shifter kit and was told by my mechanic that if i put it in my 94 rx7(gen 3) it would ruin the car. Is this true?

I also recently acquired a C-west headlight conversion kit and the instructions are entirely in japanese. Does anyone know where I can get an english translation of these or if there is a good mechanic for RX-7s in the baltimore area that would know? Please email me at allanbacon@gmail.com

You can post back here if you want but I check my email more frequently than I check the site (due to lag)

Thanks, Allan

The mechanic is wrong, my step dad has one in his 93 touring with no problems at all. The rx7 store puts them in all the time with no problems what so ever. Very easy to put in. remove the shift **** and the plastic center piece over the tranny( just pops off ), remove the bolts on the boot then the bolts on the shifter and replace with the B&M shifter (make sure to remove the sleeve off the bottom of the shift **** if there is not on in the box, should be a new one in the box).

Refering to the head lights I don't remember where to get the instructions in english.
