Unhappy HELP!! Clutch wont dissengage.

I recently replaced my transmission. Since it was out I figured I'd just upgrade the clutch to ACT Street strip. After assbling all the componets, the car started up fine, but I was unable to get the car in gear. The car made a grinding noise like it does when the clutch is up. I then procedded to take a look at the setup. When the clutch is depressed the preasure plate is lifted off the clutch but not enough for dissengagement (determined visually through service cover on transmission). This led to me bleeding the cluthc several times. After a few clutch fluid baths. The car was still in the same condition and did not completly dissengage when the clutch pedal is depressed . The car shifts into gear fine when the car is off. If i start it say in reverse the starter will move the car (clutch engaged). Someone sugessted that there may need to be some adjustment to the clutch cylinders upon replacing a clutch, but I didnt see any mention of adjusting in the service manual. Any one have any Idea what could be causing the clutch not to fully disengage.

Check the fork movement. Make certain the fork is moving correctly as the pedal is depressed. Make sure the hose isn't expanding, under the added pressure, and not allowing the fork to move far enough.

The fork is moving. and it does pull on the clutch cover/preassure plate. Just seems that oit not pulling it far enough for full disengagement

usual problem with ACT & Clutchnet Clutches ...he he he..............the pressure plate's friction plate is too thick thats why mazdatrix is selling a shim for it. but IMHO thats taking a short cut. clutch is not designed to be shimmed. the clutch assembly must match the flywheel. thats why all of my installs are custom made by ACTION CLUTCH in Los Angeles. Carbon Kevlars all the way!!!! cheaper, good service and good quality.

Is this the one that M2 sells as their heavy duty model?

If so, mine did the same thing... I just adjusted the pedal and it seems to work ok now.

Jack the rear end up. Start the car and hit the brakes. Push in the clutch pedal and try to put it in gear. You should be able to.

He means clutch master and/or slave cylinder. I know they sometimes go out when you get a new or stiffer pressure plate, but I've never heard of one barely failing. I'd check them anyway.
