HELP: Which AFM do i have??
I just got given an Air flow meter from an Rx7 for my turbo miata and I.m going to be running it with an E-manage....
Trouble is i dont know what type of AFM it is.
The emange manual lists two types of Afm... one from 85-89 then the other from 89-91. The set up in the Emanage is different for the two.
How do i tell which one i have?? are the sizes different or just the resistance of the flapper element.
Please help!!

Drive to the unknown.
The S4 AFM has a flapper door, the S5 (89-91) is a slide-cone setup.... the S5 is bout 7-8 inches long and is more like a cone then a box.... the 86-89 looks boxier and has a flapper door on the inside...

thanks guys
I forgot to mention that it was a flapper door type... i though i heard that there was two different resistances for this type..obviously not.
How do i know if tis calibrated correctly? the last owner played with the clock spring but forgot to mark the starting position so now i dont know if its right.
I remember reading a procedure for hanging some weights from the flapper door and adjusting it so it comes to the right resistance spec..
anyone know how to do this???
