3 rd gen. When I am under heavy boost (above 10 pounds) I get a heavy gas smell inside the car and I can hear the sound of rushing air. It sounds like it comes from around the drivers door sill or left side foot well panel. Before I pull apart the fuel evaporation system I am looking for any ideas. When I pulled off the A piller molding I found a hose that goes up the A piller over the door and back down under the storage bins. I did not take out the bins to follow it completely. This hose vents out of the car behind the front wheel. I dont know what the hose is but it is in the area that the sound is coming from. Any help? Thanks.

I hear the same noise above 10 psi too!!! It was driving me crazy but no loss in performance so I let it go. I have no idea about that tube. Don't ever remember it being there when i had the apillar off.

Cant find anything in the shop manual either.
