Exclamation Is this a good deal for this engine???

I am looking at getting a new engine for me 88 se, and my friends dad built a 13b NA to about 300hRWHP. I has about $2000 in porting work. I will just tell u what i can remember. It Has a Brideport, portmatch header, heavy duty Apex seals and cornersprings,Periphal ports gone, Center force dual friction clutch, 13 lbs flywheel, and 2 second gen trannys. i know i am forgeting some things. Oh also the engine is a completely assembled. He has between $5000-$6000 in the motor, and he said he would sell me it for $3000, and i could make payments on it till i had it paid off. So i would like to know if u guys think that it is a good deal or not.

Doesn't sound bad if it works, but someone put WAY too much effort into that engine to make 300rwhp.

I bought a carb manifold for my GSL-SE $228, bought a 600cfm holley carb $200, 5psi holley red pump $100, RBheader $200, "do it myself" custom exhaust $100. Tuned it myself made about 225 hp and that was on a 9.4:1 GSL-SE engine with 150,000 miles on it. I'm sure it would have been a bunch faster if I had even a street port 89-91 engine. And that is DONE and running. Oh I bought the car for $200.

well the motor is pretty much stock except the porting work. which isn't all that bad, and the reason it cost him bout 5-6 grand is he used only the best quality part when he rebuilt it and only used the best guy in my area that does rotary work. so thats why it cost him a lil
