Going out of business
The End of the Road
We are a bit sad to announce that after 10 years in this business, Rotary Diagnostics Systems is planning to shut down at the end of 2016. A significant drop in sales during the latter part of 2016 makes it fruitless to continue with the business. All outstanding warranties in force at that time will be honored by me personally for the remainder of the warranty. The web site will be maintained through the end of 2017 so that existing customers can have access to user manuals and other information. Contact instructions for technical assistance and warranty questions will also be provided on our web site for one year following our closing. If you or someone you know would like to purchase one of our system, now would be the time to do that. After our in-stock systems are gone, our systems will no longer be available.
We thank all of our worldwide customers for their support over the past 10 years. It has been a great run and we have thoroughly enjoyed interacting with individuals, engine builders, dealerships and race teams. The highlight of the past 10 years was being invited into the SpeedSource, Inc. trailer at Daytona by Sylvain Tremblay following their pole-winning run at the 2008 Rolex 24 and meeting chief engineer David Haskell. Sylvain made the comment that our multi-rotor compression tester system, used in the building of their engines, had contributed to their pole-winning run and their eventual class win. That was an experience I will remember for a long time.
Best regards to all,
Larry Roberts,

Larry,
thanks for developing your really excellent compression tester.
i especially like being able to read literally every compression stroke during a test as well as the RPM. while it requires just a bit more setup (USB output to your laptop) i like the more complete picture generated.
'sorry to see it go but happy to have mine.

Many thanks for the kind words Howard! As I have said, it's been a great run with lots of high points, but nothing lasts forever. I will phase out the business over the next year and look for other things to occupy my time.
Best regards,
Larry

Wow. I didn't even know about your product.
Given how infrequently people need to use a compression tester, why not rent them out instead for $50? You can charge the price of the product as a security deposit then refund upon return.

sorry to see you go, i always wondered why we had so many compression tester companies out there even though you were the first. never seemed to be a high demand but then again i just assumed there wasn't. you even found me in las vegas and sent me a brochure, i was actually a little shocked, no one else seemed to know or care who i was/am, lol. though i already had a digital unit i built at that time.
it sucks getting left behind, but it also just opens up more forks in the road for you to pick from.
