Going to carb on a S4... what distributor

hey guys i haven't been on here in a while but i picked up a S4 for $100 the other day and i'm turing it into a track only car and i'm planing on running a Weber 45DCOE side draught carb. My question is what distributor would I use with this setup? Would any 12A dizzy work? Any feedback would be a great help and to the search ****'s... i didn't find anything usefull

I have a s4 also I carbed it side draught I use the stock ignition setup but I added the Jacobs fc1000 ignition to it. I connects real easy right between the cas and the Leading coil. Its only 180.00 shipped and it more than made up for the lost low end that happens when you pull the 5th and 6th port sleeves. Im not 100% sure if the 12a dizz will work I think it does though.

1st gen dizzy and coils. Check out the FAQs in the 1st gen sention. Jeff20B has a writeup on DLDFIS ignition. Cheaper, easy and performs as well as the high dollar aftermarket ones.

if you want simplicity then go with the 12a distributor setup. you can run an msd box thru the cap on the leading side and you will spark strong enough to burn anything you can throw at it. if it's a track only car then you can simplify even more by just locking the distributor and have a total set timing.
