General Maintenance
I've only been driving my rx7 for a little while and don't know a whole lot about it. What are something's I need know as a rotary engine owner? What do I to be doing daily/regularly to ensure that it has a long life?

yes, do redline the motor once in awhile, it will help will carbon buildup, which is a killer on these engines. of course, NEVER redline it until its at normal operating temp, or your likely to do even more damage.
Keep up on your fluids, keep an eye on your oil level and freeze level, and it should run great for you for many years

Once the car has had a "once over",fixing the obvious 20 year old neglected stuff,like hoses,bushings,etc..then the car really is just a CAR.
You check and change the fluids often,check the belts,Spark plugs,filters and it treats you right.
Just because it has a different engine does not mean that the car needs all the EXTRA attention.
If you maintain the car as it should as it is not a NEW car,and **** does break,then it will run until the cows come home.
If you don't fix what time has dealt the 20 year old parts then ya,you are looking at more repairs.
Get it now and you got many more years on the car.
The only thing I did on my N/A after I gave it the "once over" was gas,Pop the hood to check the oil,belts,make sure no squirrels were in it..and tire pressure.
Four years later I sold the engine.That engine is Still running..
The car is now TII swapped and still in my yard.Running.

Awesome, nothing too daunting. What radiator would you recommend? The one that's in it now has seen much better days and I'm replacing it soon. Is there a particular model I should look for? I hear aluminum works best.

Well you failed to mention what year of Rx7 you have so maybe you can do that in the future.
But personally I have owned FC's,and they have a plastic tanked rad and I just do not trust plastic under heat and pressure,constant recycling of those two factors leave me uneasy.
I went with a Koyo,but there are Brass stock replacements that are known to be just as good and function fine.Griffin and Ron Davis make good rads too.
The rad though should be paired with an adequate functioning cooling fan.
There is nothing wrong with the stock Clutch type fan,it works well.
Most guys just upgrade to an electrical for 2 reasons I find..because they CAN,(chuckle!), and to make the engine bay look cleaner.
