Flooding your motor, which I think is more common on the older cars. Gas in oil is bad, as the oil doesn't seal the chambers very well so you get bad starting compression.

It's normal for our cars. If the car runs rich, the injectors leak, or you flood it. The fuel runs past the rotor seals into the oil cavity in the centre of the rotor. The seals are good at stopping oil but gas just goes right under them.

It's why we change the oil more often than piston engined cars.

i am so glad to hear that.. i was worried that i had blown a seal in my new motor.

i flooded my engine a few weeks ago, and it is running rich, so i guess that explains that

that is why i am having the problem. i set the carb up to run rich for the motor break in, and until i can get it onto a dyno. only problem is that i made it a little richer than needed.. i am getting somewhere around 8-9 mpg.

Rotaries put oil in there gas. Piston engines pollute their oil with all sorts of crap.
