Fuel Rail Pulsator

I started getting a lot of gas smell in the car, especially if I used the heater. so I took the car into the shop and they said it was 'a fuel rail pulsator?' So they fixed that, now we're looking for a plastic piece for a fuel injector. Anyone have similar problems? It added up to a chunk o change.

that was the pulsation dampner, the internal rubber seal wears down to the point that it starts to leak and drips onto the exhaust manifold, alot of FCs die this way. Is that plastic piece called an "air bleed" because they tend to break too. I'd say you'd prolly dropped about 150 for parts?

fuel dampener is a common problem on the fd and fc replace asap, before you have a nice engine fire.

If you search the forum you will find that it CAN be replaced with a banjo bolt in order to stop the leak. However, you will find differing opinions regarding how wise this is.
