fuel pressure drop

Long post but necessary. After driving my RX2 13b supercharged for aprox 45 minutes or around 35 miles the fuel pump(aeromtive 18-20 psi) starts making noise(can feel the out let hose vibratition)and my fuel pressure reads around 3 to 2 and the gauge needle is shaking. I am using a aeromotive matched regulator(3-20 psi) set at 6 when the motor is warmed up. I have no junk in the matching fuel filter before the regulator or in the small wire filter before the pump. I am running a return line of 3/8 to the stock metal line. There is no wosh or pressure excessive when I open the gas filler. I ran a painless wire connection to the battery and pump so I would not lose voltage. I know what I am hearing is air the line and that is causing the drop I believe so anyway. I originaly had a carter pump and a holley regulator with no return line and that worked for about a year then I started having this problem but with the carter it would stop running. So I changed the regulator, then the pump, then added the wiring from the battery, replaced the fuel line from the tank and finally replaced everything with the aeromotive but had to put my return line from the regulator or I couldn't adjust the pressure. Okay I've searched every post and there are some smart folks out there. Help me
