fuel injector cleaner..

Sorry if it's been asked before but i'm on my way out the door to pick up my "new" car(86)..question is..Is it alright to use fuel injector cleaner as an additive to your gas ..to clean the injectors on a 13b N/A?..it's been sittin for a couple of months..I intend on doing the whole tune-up (fluid change, filters.plugs, wires ..the whole anchilada)..will bottled injector cleaner be ok?..iI already know not to mess with the oil..thanks to those who reply and if the question is like kickin a dead horse it could be informative for the newbie(seeing there has been an increase of newbies)..misterstyx69

I used gumout injector cleaner a few times and had no problems with it.

I never had a flooding problem in the 6 months I've owned my base RX-7, UNTIL I used Lucas Fuel Additive... same tank of gas with Lucas I had starting problems... maybe it was the gas... maybe it was coincidence... maybe it was the Lucas Fuel Additive. I won't be using it again. Hasn't flooded again since.

Not saying there's anything particularly wrong with this kind of stuff... I just won't be using it... if I want my injectors cleaned, I'll pull them and send them off to be cleaned professionally.
