Flame Spitting Monster?

i see the rotary is quite capable of creating flames...what is necessary to get the maximum? right now in 2nd gear decelerating from 50mph i can hear a popping from the rear, but only smoke(i have a stock muffler, no pre-cats, no cat, no other emission controls of any kind) my exhaust also still has a tube going to my intake manifold..must have been part of the former emissions. i plan to redo the exhaust with an RB header and a single pipe all the way back to an Apex`i N1

Get a straight-through exhaust, remove the air-pump (if it still has it) and fit a flame-kit (spark plug in the exhaust)

happy flaming

Oh yeah, and run the highest-possible octane fuel (then chuck in some additive as well!)

Just shut the ignition off while you are driving.

My '80 was a flame thrwing monster when it was stock, when I put the modified engine in and had no emissions and a header, it stopped the flames and even all the backfiring.
