FD Engine rebuild question

I know the using all new hard parts is the most ideal and durable way to do a rebuild. My question is: assuming you have access to good used and brand new parts, but couldn't afford to buy all new, which ones would you make sure to buy as new?

Here is my guess:

1) Rotor housings
2) Intermediate housing
3) Rear housing
4) Front housing
5) Rotor(s)
6) Eccentric Shaft

I would replace the parts that are broken / damaged.

After that, housings. Irons only if they are no good for lapping.

Rotors if bounced off a concrete floor.

E-shaft if bent in a vice.

Yep obviously any broken parts get replaced.

So then it comes down to housings and irons being the most critical w.r.t. wear.

Thanks.

I thought I remembered some good info along these lines on Kevin Landers' site. Can't locate the link right now.

I read that one - he has a whole bunch of info about the condition of rotor housings. Great website.
