I have a 89 fc and i was think of get a fd shell my motor has a fresh rebuilt with a big street port and a nice size turbo with a micro tech . The fd shell pretty much has everything, mint!, all it needs is an engine. I wanted swap mine in but using the fd tranny. Is it pretty much just a take out put in and done? If not then what else does it need

 

engine mounts up differently.
the rad is different,waterpump hoses mount different.
Not to mention the electronics aspect of it.
This idea of yours IS doable but really you would be better off to either install the engine in what it is intended for or get an engine for the FD shell.
