Fc Feels laggy or doesn't have power
Hey guys, I just bought my first fc with my first rotary ever. I don't know much about rotaries and I'm hoping I'll be able to change that on these forums. I'm not going to lie and say I bough a really clean car because honestly I bough a POS. But anyways, the car feels like it has no power and the idle is really high. I can't even drive it because of this. I saw that there's a vacuum hose in the bay that isn't connected so could that maybe be the power issue? any help is appreciated. Please don't bash on me too hard. This is my first rotary.

It is a VERT so don't expect too much out of a heavy sled.,
Also you can extract codes from the car if you think the engine is giving you any grief.
RX7 FD and Series 5 Error Codes

There are all kinds of stupid things people do to these cars which can make them suck.
If the idle is high, definitely take the advice above and go over the vacuum system with aide of the FSM.
Check to make sure the aux port actuators aren't wired open.
Make sure the VDI isn't wired to the high RPM position.
Some engine bay pics would help.

yeah the guy I bought the car from said he never rebuilt the engine since the previous owner befor him. He had told me it was getting around the time to rebuild it because the apex seals were bad. I tried a compression test and the results were bad. No compression in one of the rotors.
