VA Engine restorer good for rotaries????

I have been dealing with this stuff for years....I have had mixed feelings on this product.(works on some engines, and not so well on other engines) I have used it only on piston engines. I decided to endure the ridicule from some people and ask if this stuff is good for a rotary??? Like I said, this stuff has worked well on some engines, and did absolutely nothing on others. For those that dont know what this stuff is, it is supposed to restore compression in the cylinder walls of tired *** piston engines......I had also been told that SEAFOAM does similar actions as this product claims.
So, I will endure the ignorance in search of a positive/ correct answer.....Engine restorer good for rotaries????-restore-left-1.jpg

You know, I've actually been curious about this myself. I don't think it would harm the engine. I would experiment myself on my 91 NA vert but my OMP isn't working.

Ive been thinking of experimenting on my n/a DD, but just wanted to get some info from a few rotary veterans....I dont think it would do any harm, but at the same time the rotary is sensitive and dont want to harm a perfectly good running engine......

It cleans up the internals and on an old engine it could be good or bad.. Mostly bad...
I wouldn't if I were you... But that's just me.

Eh, I wouldn't bother. Oil additives especially tend to be bunk. That sounds like it might be some super-viscous stuff that slows down some leaks temporarily but creates excessive wear in the long run. Try heavy weight oil like 20w50 if you have problems like that, but don't go any heavier.

A lot of people do swear by sea foam and have seen it clean out old engines. But such things aren't necessary or helpful on a good engine. If you have an old neglected engine you could try sea foam but if it hasn't gotten bad yet then basic scheduled maintenance should be plenty.
