engine oil in the engine to help start it?...hmmmm

I couldnt get my car started and someone told me to pour a bit of oil into the spark plug holes, crank it to empty it, then clean the plugs and reassemble, so I did and it worked!!!! How does that help and what is actually going on in there lol

When a rotary floods, the fuel washes away all of the oil that coats the housings, helps to seal the apex seals against the housings, and maintain compression. In fact, if you test the compression on a flooded rotary, it will show up as a blown motor due to no compression. So many rotaries have gone to the junkyard for this very reason...

except flooding issues and sticky seals usually point to underlying issues such as a high mileage worn engine.
