so ive decided to put a rotary in my suzuki samurai. i swapped engines in my 86 na and i have the dead 6 port 214,000 original kms engine and my totaled car for parts. there have been 12a conversions done but i really want a 13b. so can i rebuild this 6 port 13b and put a carb on it or do carb 13bs have a different block? obviously i would need a different intake? is it feasable to wire the fi into the samurai? any opinions?

They have carb intakes for the 6 ports on www.racingbeat.com they also have the rebuild kits for that engine too. well if a 12a conversion has been done a 13B could be shoe-horned in the engine bay.

wow thats really cool. i can afford the intake but the carb is a grand in canuck bucks. i wonder what the difference between a stock holley and racing beats special super duper version is? Size wize the motor is no problem its the length of the tranny. Apparently a tail shaft from a b2000 pick-up will shorten it a couple of inches. i really want a automatic cause it would be easier on the stock axels and t-case. Anybody know if any other mazda auto tranny could work with a 13b? I assume the bellhousing is all one piece like the standard so again only a shorter tailshaft could work?

The auto tranny is the same length as the manual in the old non ECU equipt rotaries. The gear selector can be moved to wherever you need it though.
