Engine Break In

I know this has been covered all over the place, but I can't find sufficient information that I believe. How many miles and how should I break in my new '93 motor? I have heard so many different ways and want to know what everyone thinks.

well the eazyer you break it in the longer it will last.
on my motor and all the motorswe have built we tell people this
no more than 3k rpm with less than 500 miles on the motor then per 500 miles take it up 500 rpm till 2000 then have at it but dont redline her for a while. also change the oil @ 500,1000,1500,2000...so add 500 miles each oil change. I change my oil about every 1500 to 2000 miles anyway and plugs every 2 oil changes, only use a mazda filter for the breakin and 20/50 cast. gtx.
