Whats my end play??

H E L P!

My end play seem to be too loose if i am reading it correctly, it looks to be .0076 and my spacer looks to be a C. If the end play is less than specified, replace spacer with a thicker one. if the end play is more than specified install a thinner spacer..

A = 7.975 - 7.995 mm (0.3140 - 0.3147 in)
B = 7.995 - 8.015 mm (0.3148 - 0.3155 in)
C = 8.015 - 8.035 mm (0.3156 - 0.3163 in)
D = 8.035 - 8.055 mm (0.3164 - 0.3171 in)
E = 8.055 - 8.075 mm (0.3172 - 0.3179 in)

End play needs to be between

0.040 - 0.070 mm (0.0016 - 0.0027 in)

Respectfully request help selecting correct spacer thank you

Maybe stick with what you’ve got, but replace the Torrington bearings and put a dab of lube in there. Sometimes new bearings will give you a few tenths of a mm due to old ones being wore down.

just re-read and noticed it is an inch gauge, correct? Make sure you’re not missing something in the stack. 0.0049” is a lot of play.
