downpipe question
what type of downpipe to purchase? is stainless really necessary? Also, which name brand is best for a third gen? Does heat coating make a large difference?
thanks
thanks
I'm not a 3rd gen person but the question is pretty general so I will throw my 2 cents in
Is SS really necessary? Not unless you look at the underside of your car a lot! Or if you are concerned with rust I suppose. All brand names work well but I would go with the one you can get good service from. If you can contact the dealer about problems and they can help you with it, I would buy from them
Also ask them if it will include the gaskets and stuff. As for the heat coating I can't really say. If you want to keep heat out of the cockpit a little more I suppose it would help and it may help it spitting out the exhaust gasses a little faster. I don't bother with that stuff just because it is expensive and I don't really notice a difference, or more the fact it doesn't bother me. I just made my DP out of aluminized steel
