I searched and couldn't find anything on this...
On racingbeats site they suggest you use double side seal springs, has anyone does this? they said it increases oil temps which scares me a bit....

For the RX-8, do NOT use (2) springs beneath the RX-8 side seals - there isn’t enough room!
yeh.. ive done a few times .. OK if using the NA springs
.. FD springs prove to have more tension with a different treatment and may be fractionally thicker/taller and can make the engine too tight to turn over

No.
I've pulled apart an FD engine cobbled together with 20 things wrong, including double side seal springs.
Many springs had broken on the ends, and the irons showed a tremendous amount of wear.
