Do I count my blessings? Or do I count my dollars towards a rebuild?

I heard how intolerable Rotaries are to overheating , I also read a few threads on what to look for after an overheat tell tale signs of toasted water seals and the ugly after math of this cruel overheat Tragedy .

After having three Very hot water shut downs due to a bad T-Stat I have yet to see any major problems with water seals , no signs of sweet smelling exhuast , no sign of white smoke at start up or at anytime there after , Allthough i do have bubbles in my filler spout , but I did,nt remove the ekg or whatever that relay your supposed to remove is , I will reread what the proper procedures are for this and maje that a final test .

Also if I do still have bbbles , could it be from the chep napa T-Stat i have temperarily in there atm , until I get my Oem Mazda stat with the booble installed ?

Well am I lucky or just fooling my self ? It got so hot on me that it was boiling coolant in my reservoir and one time there was coolant boiling out of my water lines going to my bac... Man that s hot stuff
I am glad if I got really lucky , I want this to be Great engine but I won't be totally satisfied till i have a my engine of dreams all shiny rebuilt and powder coated to slip into this ones place , Just need good tranportaion till then = )

I'd say keep using it and start buying parts as you can afford them to build a new motor or have enough spare parts lying about that when the first one goes you'll be able to cobble together a whole engine pretty quickly.
