the choice is yours though, really. just about everyone touts the '81+ distributor as an upgrade over the SA's points system - and i am no different. however, it really comes down to what you want. i've come to appreciate older technology when it remains in context though i'm not making the case for others to do the same.

Iv got the points c omming tomarrow iv got the blaster coils in there already. Im still thinking of changing it all over tho.
Iv read a couple forms on it but I don't want too spend bunch of money doing it.
I have the coils and the full distrubutor.
Im also worryed bout throwing the timeing off any suggestions?

by the way, if you happen not to have access to one (friend, neighbor, etc.) then it's a good investment and comparative to other specialty tools associated with these cars, they are relatively inexpensive. N/As typically don't pop easily due to timing issues (they can actually tolerate an almost ridiculous amount of detonation), but you'll be doing yourself a service if you get it as precise as you can.

Ok I put the new cap on and replaced the burnt things in the pictures above and used a feeler gauge too put propper spaceing between the points and still won't run. I got it too fire once but it died right after.
Just thought I'd say I have two brand new msd coils new wires plugs cap and contact points. Im starting too think I'm gunna have too change the dizzy too the 85 one.
I put a pic up of the two things beside the dizzy if one of these were fryed would it cause problems as well?
Also how do I check the timeing if I can't get it to run?
