Disabling EGR...tricking ECU

On a CA spec FD, when you disable the EGR or if have a bad EGR is there anything that can be use to trick the ECU so that it thinks the EGR is still functional so that the CEL won't come on?

Thanks.

the egr valve is run on a duty cycle so unless you can simulate the open percentage of the valve it doesnt work very well. you could find a good egr, extend the wires and put it someplace else.
