Different e-fan thermoswitch question

i've done a lot of reading and used the search feature but have only found one mention of what i'm asking.

i know the common place for the thermoswitch is near the thermostat, but i have 2 other options i want to ask about.

First, i believe i found my answer using the FSM but want confirmation. On the turbo front iron (my build uses turbo f/r irons in n/a configuration), there is a fitting on top located near the p/s bracket. this is the oil supply for the turbo and not a coolant supply, correct?

Second, can i use the drain plug located between the p/s bracket studs for the thermoswitch? it would put it directly into the coolant passage and i like the idea of having it in that area so as to keep the wiring as short and clean as possible. if it is not recommended can you explain why?

while i'm talking about them, what is the difference between a thermoswitch with 1 connector as opposed to 2 as far as how it works and the way they get wired? tried using google but i couldn't really find an answer

1. you are correct, that is an oil feed.

2a. the coolant drain plug is on the center iron, but if you're talking about the big threaded in allen head casting plug on the lower left of the front iron, then yes that spot works great for coolant temp.

2b. the one wire switch, uses the block as a ground. a 2 wire switch completes a circuit. i'm not really sure, but i'd guess that the 1 wire switches handle less current, so they are more meant to trigger a relay, whilst the 2 wire switches are usually higher current, and maybe don't use a relay, or would turn on a light or something

awesome. thank you for clarifying everything. i guess i'll be getting a single lead switch and putting it where the allen key plug is. that's exactly what i wanted
