Anyone know what the thread spec of the coolant low sensor is? Since I have accidentally broken (and shorted as soldering the wire back to the sensor failed) the wire I would like to put a temperature sender in its place. My only gauge with numbers is from the throttle body hose and I am interested in the top hose temp, but my hose is a ribbed type that I cannot split to insert a piece with a sender as usual.
Note I would like to keep the factory gauge as it is in line of sight so haven't considered using the factory sender (but IRRC this is engine side of the thermostat anyway and I want to measure radiator side out of interest).
