crazy dreams! spraying AIR???

I had a dream last night that i was spraying air into the intake system like nitrous. This moring I thought hell this should kind of work I think. So my question is if i tap a small hole into the front of my cones(not the best idea) and spray say 1# of pure oxygen or air into the intake pipes should that kind of work. Or what about spraying cold oxygen towards the intakes. What crazy dreams we have .I know this isn't the best idea at all just wondering.

Air? or Oxygen? Big difference. Spraying air in won't make a terrible amount of difference. It'll be colder, and perhaps add some pressure, but certainly not worth the trouble. Now _OXYGEN_ would change the combustion properties and be kinda like nitrous in that respect. I'd think you'd need more fuel.

Air is not pure oxygen.... and pure oxygen will pretty much melt down your engine. Nitrous oxide is used instead because, firstly, it takes heat to break the N2O down into nitrogen and oxygen, and secondly the added nitrogen helps buffer the burn.
