could use some help with my investment!!!!

just baught a 79 rx-7 for $200, and we are trying to get all the problems fixed. the last problem is that no matter what we do we cant get the thing started. is there anything special that we need to do since it's a rotary? and if so what do we need to do???. thanks for any help that you can give.

you're up for a lot of work there heh,

first thing, when you turn the key, does the engine turn over at all?

need to take this one step at a time =)

Rotaries have a special starting procedure. It requires a squirrel, chocolate, and a hooker. Gimme a reply when you have those three things together.



Before you try to start it, make sure you have oil in the car (which you changed from what's been in there for the last god knows how many years sitting).

Battery charged?

If the car doesn't spin (we'll get to actually firing up later) when you turn the key that could be a host of problems: starter, bad wiring, blow fuses, etc.

Ill third it.

Id just redo the whole thing... chances are the motors SHOT TO ****... Ive seen 2 rx7's that my friends have purchased that actually had nothing seriously wrong with them... MINES 1 of them.
