Compression Check question
How can you compression check a cold engine that doesn't even have a starter. Is it even possible?
For example, a non-running '79 that has no starter and no radiator.
Or an engine that's outside of the car.
Is there even a way to do it?
Is an engine like that even worth any money if I sell it?
It turns freely by hand so I know it's not carbon locked....

Yes you can. Turn the engine by hand (17mm bolt on front) and you should hear three chugs/pulses out the exhaust port on each rotor. While you turning the motor you can also take a look at the apex seals as they go past the exhaust port.
