Bucking and popping
84 Gslse, would not rev above 3500 rpm. So I change the fuel filter, no help. Then I read out the TPS it was bad, changed it, It would now rev to redline in neutral
but on the highway it would buck and pop at 3500 rpm, so with it all warmed up I read out the o2 sensor, it was bad when warmed up, it had read good on a cold engine, so changed the o2 sensor and readjusted the TPS, its better now, I hope it lasts , Maybe more bugs in it.
PS, the test light method sucks, use an ohm meter at the tps connecter, unplug it, put on your test leads and set it to 1k ohm at idle, ENGINE OFF!
The o2 sensor should read .25 to.30 volts at normal operating temperature at idle. (drive it for 10 minutes)
then check it.
