NC Brake light help

So I bought this 88 convertible and I cant get the brake lights to work. I have checked the ground in the back along with all my fuses and the bulbs which all check out just fine. However I cant find a ground wire up front. I have found one wire directly behinde the brake pedal screwed into the firewall but I dont know where it goes because it is cut. I also have no idea where the brake relay is. Oh yea I also swithched out the brake light switch with my turbo 2 and no luck there either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
