Is it possible to judge a cold engine compression test?

Is it possible to judge a cold engine compression test?

Hey guys if u in a situation where u can't warm up the engine before doing a compression test with mazda digital teter, is possible to judge the engine health? The number for back are 7.8,7.7,7.6, Front are 7.7, 7.6, 6.7? I know even the shop manual say's to warm it up, what happen if u can't always warm up the engine. Any input is appericated.

If I recall, numbers will be lower during a cold compression test. Not immensely lower, but lower.

I've typically seen slightly higher compression numbers from a cold engine verse a warm engine. However, there are other things to consider which can equate to that difference. Someone posted a cold/warm comparison for a compression test:
