Boost and VAC leak.....SERIOUS problems...help

Hello all. I have an 88 turbo II and Im new to this board but was wondering if anyone out there would know of any VAC leaks that have a direct impact on boost. My car isnt building any boost, it idle surges about 6-700 rpms and seems to be leaking oil from somewhere underneath. There is a vac hose coming from a seloniod labled PRESSURE going onto the side of the intake manifold. This has a tear in it, but I dont think this is the MAIN problem. The throttle position sensor was changed about a month ago. The car runs like a dog, PLEASE HELP! email me at jamison182@hotmail.com or reply thanks very very much!.

Any vac. leak could have a impact on your boost no matter how small, if it is a small tear, it will be minimal, but a impact nonetheless. I would get that pressure sensor line fixed (which is actually your boost sensor). If your boost sensor is not reading the correct amt. of boost it will screw a lot of things up. Also check all of the connection going from the turbo to the intercooler and from the intercooler to the throttle body. The rubber tube that comes off the turbo gets old and brittle and likes to crack. Also, make sure your TID (turbo inlet duct) is connected tight and does not have any cracks in it. Check all the vac. lines you can see without taking the UIM off, if you can't find it we will go from there.
