Boost setting??? Newb

My friend just got a 1993 mazda rx7 Twin Turbo. We were wondering what would be the right boost setting to turn this car up to??? it is running 7psi without the b/c connected.

Mods:
rebuilt engine(3k mi), street ported, engine management (PFSupercars-Powertrain Management Computer w/Keypad), full intake, front mount intercooler, exhaust system and a manual boost controller w/ aftermarket boost gauge

Thanks

You two shouldn't toy with the car at all because you sound like complete newbs. Leave the car like it is and just be happy with it running. If your buddy wants more power have him take it to a shop and throw it on a dyno and make sure it is tuned properly and has enough fuel.

yes I am a complete newbie to rx7's.....

I'm a previous Dodge SRT-4 owner and I am already in the process of completing the deal with this guy (I bought this car)

The modifications are listed on there also, except for a few. He said he just got the engine rebuilt about 3,000 miles ago as he told me over the phone and he told me also that he just drove it enough for the new engine to break in and then has parked it since then....

he said he removed some restriction from a line that allowed it to boost 10psi before, but closed it back up to prevent overboost and it is currently only boosting 7psi? I'm not sure what he was talking about.

But I currently have a boost controller on the way that was for my SRT-4 (mbc), that I could probably use on this car, and would like to know a good safe boost setting to run.

If you could please give me advice on what boost would be safe to run on this car to not blow it up? That would be great.....

and also some advice for what to look for when I test drive his car when I drive to florida sometime this weekend to pick it up.......thanks!

well.. It is better to ASK than to turn it up like a complete IDIOT... I own a 3000gt vr4 and trevor has a srt4(getting rx7)... every car is different..

Also heard turning the boost past 13-14 makes it only blow hot air?....

p.s. I am not new to turbo cars... just don't know much about the rx7

Thanks
