boost problem

I have a 1993 RX7 . Anyways my car kicks *** and pulls 13 pounds of boost real hard. Sometimes though after a shift the boost drops to about 1-2 psi and stays there but if i let go of the gas pedal and then floar it i will get my 13psi back. During the time when my gauge reads 1-2 psi i can hear my turbos winding. Anybody got any ideas what might be bad. Thanks and happy new year to everybody.

All I can say is that's weird....any more descripters you can give, symptoms.

Does the car bog after the shift.
Are you power shifting when this happens?

For some reason i've always been told with twin turbos you loose boost when you shift, i never understood it or asked to many questions but it's just a disadvantedge of twin turbos.

do you have an aftermarket blow-off valve?

could be that the blow-off valve isn't closing on time.

spanky, I've been having the same problem. I posted a similar thread here:
