Blitz BOV Adjustment

I bought an FD with a Blitz BOV fitted so don't have instructions. There is an adjustment bolt on top - what does it do?

The BOV hardly made any noise and the bolt was ripping through the hood sound proofing as it was wound out so far (about 2"). So i wound it down a bit now it doesn't make any noise at all - i haven't pushed it though as i wasn't sure of the difference it would make...

Any ideas what's up?

no one got one? I've heard that if you release the nut you'll be able to adjust the tension in the spring inside the valve - but how do i do that?
