Does anyone know how that locking mechanism from the iron insert works?
I just don´t get it

I’ve seen it done at the drag strip when the vendor was in town . Only reason you need to get tool is if you damage surface . But you won’t need to change plate for years unless you mess it up . But with tool to change plate

 

Ye i know, I just wanted to know how the mechanism, which holds the iron insert in place, works.
