If you insist on using a synthetic, use Royal Purple or Mobile 1
If you are going to use a dino oil, use Castrol GTX or Havoline in 10W30 or 20W50
Don't use any additives. That is, unless you've disconnected the OMP and the automatic oil injection system and are running 2 cycle oil as a premix.

I am looking at buying a 2nd gen and wondered what the deal is with this oil injection system. I know vertualy nothing about rx7's, just love the rotory motors. Does it burn oil, can/should you use premix? How often do you have to put more oil in the block (or does it have an oil tank) Looking at some info cuz i may be purchasing an 88 gxl this weekend if the oil burning is "suppose" to happen
