Which Bell Housing?

I believe that this is a T2 bell, but I also have another bell with only 8 bolts, missing the two on the top and bottom.

I'm trying to get an adapter from GForce, and they say that this is not a T2 bell.

The depth is supposed to be the same as a T2.

Rotation of Trans?

There is a problem with the orientation (rotation) of the trans vs the engine with this bell housing. The access plate on the bottom of the bell is parallel with the bottom of the engine. But the adapter from GForce rotates the trans 10 degrees counter clockwise so that the shifter is closer to the driver. Any comments on the rotation of transmissions for various years and bell housings?

That's a Series 5 bellhousing. Series 4's don't have the two bolts, top and bottom, but they are essentially the same. I've used S5 bellhousing on S4 transmissions before with no problems just make sure you add extra silicone where the extra bolt holes are.
