Bee Rev Limiter and other queries
Can any one help me please!
Just pick up my RX7 and found that it has a Bee rev limiter in it! but the thing is that i dont know how to use it!
can any one please tel me how to use it!
Also not sure if it has anything to do with it but when i first start up my car it idels about 1500rpm then drops to about 1k. but when it has warmed up or after driving, it jumps about and the exhaust starts popping and spluttering! ive not had the ecu remapped yet for uk fuel so i think that this might be the cause but i might be wrong! Ant thoughts!?
Also What is the correct setting for the oil gauge to sit at because when im accellerating it moves up and when i dont it drops! Any hints?

the oil pressure is supposed to increase as you accelerate.
I've never heard of an RX-7 bee limiter or whatever.... I just ignore the bugs in nesting in my car, then let my rotary specialsts get bit on the forehead...
For your idle, it's normal for the 7 to start off idling high then back down to 700-800 after it's warmed up. For the eratic part, I'm not sure...maybe a vacuum leak.

I put a Bee-R on my car a while back. The Bee-R is a real two step. It has two ignition settings. The second is turned on when the switch ground wire is connected to a ground. The installation instructions say to wire it up to the parking brake so thats probably what the owner of your car did. The first **** is the normal rev-limiter, the second is the 2nd revlimiter/launch control, and the third is the gain or the speed of the rev limiter. What the third **** does is speed up or slow down the gap between firing so you get more or less un burnt fuel.
The rev limiter starts at 2500rpm and as you turn the ***** up, every number is 500 rpm. So for example if you turn the first **** to the number 2, your rev limiter will be at 3500. Hope this helped. Let me know if you have any questions.
