Battery Help.

I bought an rx-7 93 recently and it just so happens, ive been getting problems...

for one, the battery is acting up.
this has been the second time i couldnt even start the car. Last time, i jump start my car and let the car run for about 15 min. i spent about a good 3 to 4 times restarting and shutting off my computer just to make sure my battery was fine.
sometimes, i have to pump my brake when i shut off my car to get the brake lights to turn off. is that normal?

but even when i double checked my brake lights being off before i leave my car, my car did not start in the morning again!
when someone checked under my hood, they told me the battery i have in it is not for the car. are there certain types of battery that i need for this specific car? i also dont have a battery tray. the last owner replaced the battery and his tray was dead. where could i get a new one?

please help ;'[..

You can get a used battery box and tray for your car on the for sale section of the forum.
As for the battery I would get a named brand one thats pro rated with a warrenty, just in case you have any problems its covered.

your brake light swith on your pedal might be getting stuck and i causing your battery to drain.

yeah, someone told me that too. how can i fix that? is it something wrong with my brake lights, brake pads, or the brake pedal itself?

as for the battery tray, il definitly check out the sales section.

battery is labeled "economy." i dont know, but personally, that doesnt sound so brand name nor efficient for a car like an rx7. as i read that i had a feeling my previous owner didnt know about an rx7 too much or deliberately replaced a good battery with a poor one right before sale...

look up at your brake pedal near the top and you will see the switch witch looks like a little box with a plastic rod sticking out with your finger push in the rod a few times and see if the rod gets stuck.
