Battery

I recently bought my 87 GXL. It has run perfectly for about a month now until this morning when i went to start it up. The battery was dead. The funny thing is that i did not leave any lights or anything thing on. Does anyone know what this means? Do i need a new battery or what. Right now I am charging my battery. It has been charging for about 2 hours now and when i put the key in the ingnition and leave it in the on position it makes a buzzing noise??? Does anyone know what this is? So far it will not start. I appreciate any help that any one has to offer. Thanks.

Take your battery to autozone, they will test it for free.

The buzzing noise could be the door open or low coolant in the radiator (check the sensor on top to make sure it is plugged in).

No one can tell you if your battery is dead--you need to have it checked!
