bad housing??

the chrome surface looks beautiful, so I thought I got lucky.
during cleaning, I find these.



I know it needs more cleaning, but I want to know if I can use this before I spend more time on it.

I am hosting the pics on my server.
my house is on the coast in the direct path of hurricane rita.
server has been shut down.

hopefully, I can get it back up soon.
