Autometer electronic water temp gauge

I just want to know the best location to insert the thermostat in? Is there a particular place i can drill, or even better, can i just screw it in somewhere that's already pre-threaded. thanks a lot for you help.

If you mean "sensor", which i think you do....

Best place is obviously the block, but few people are motivated enough to do this.

Next best I'd say would be the thermostat housing beneath the filler cap.

Third best would be to 'T' it into the hose next to the throttle body.

Finally, any other place you can find would be a *bad* choice, namely the AST.
