Apex super AFC question?? putting a 90 motor into an 87
ok i had an 87 n/a and i know it was running rich all the time (just from the smell of the exaust) but now the motor is blown and i am putting a 90 motor into the car. if anyone would like to give me some pionters it would help
so anyway i am putting in an a/f meter and was thinking about getting the super afc, but does this work on a non turbo car? and would it be worth my money?
mods

Jacobs Pro ign pak
5 lug conversion

90 motor (600 mi on it)
rest of emmisions stuff removed
a/f gauge
prob. super afc
header (if i can figure out which one i want)

I had one on my 00 Impreza.
It works just great. As a matter of fact, I'm wishing I knew about them when I had my RX-7, because the thing ran REAL rich.
I can't see why it wouldn't work, though I would be very very careful that you don't lean out the engine too much, because that would be bad.
Make sure to get an EGT and A/F gauge so you know how you're running at all times (while in the tuning stages)
